What is April’s Kittens?
April’s Kittens is a no-kill nonprofit rescue dedicated to saving the most vulnerable cats — those who are critically injured, medically complex, or special needs. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats who would otherwise face euthanasia or homelessness, while also expanding access to affordable veterinary care for stray cats and low-income families.
Community Cat Mural
Community Cat Mural
Through our Community Cat Mural, your cat will be transformed into a custom, hand-crafted portrait (approximately 10 by 10 inches) designed from their unique face, story, and personality, and hand-painted by local artist Mary Moore. We take your favorite photos and get to know what makes your cat them - their quirks, expressions, and spirit, to create a truly meaningful and personalized piece of art.
Each portrait will be permanently featured inside the front cat lounge space of our building and rescue, where every visitor can see and admire the cats who helped bring this space to life.
This is about YOUR cat - their face, their name, their legacy, honored and displayed in a place dedicated entirely to saving lives.
Even more meaningful, your participation directly supports our mission as we prepare to open, helping us provide care, safety, and second chances to cats who need it most.
Spots are extremely limited, and once they’re filled, they’re gone. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate your cat in a one-of-a-kind way while making a real impact!
After purchasing a slot, please send us an email at anna@aprilskittens.org with your favorite photos of your cat, and a bit about their personality!
Custom, hand-painted mural portrait of your cat created from your photos and their unique personality. Each ~10x10 design is featured on our cat lounge wall, celebrating your cat while directly supporting rescue efforts.
